Founder, Tom Losee, started RUN/SUP® as a way to combine what he found were two great ways to stay fit and outdoors.
A lifelong runner who has run wherever his journeys have taken him is also a pioneer from the early days of stand-up paddling (SUP). As a busy entrepreneur and father he was always torn between “taking a run” or “going for a “paddle”, Losee soon decided it was time to combine both efforts in an efficient mutually beneficial activity that has ultimately made him both a better runner and paddler. Using the backdrop of Western Lake at the scenic WaterColor Inn and Resort for company “R&D”, Losee has been able to fine tune RUN/SUP and all its activities to a captive audience ranging in ages from 7 to 70.
As Losee continues to develop this burgeoning fitness-lifestyle brand, he looks forward to expanding R/S to markets where many of his fitness class participants come from.
Since we are at a resort, we are always meeting people from all over the world and many ask after taking just one class; when can you bring RUN/SUP to our market?
In order to expand the brand to some of these markets, future RUN/SUP affiliates are being developed as well as brand ambassadors from a variety of fitness backgrounds.
Functional, H.I.I.T, core and body weight-style exercises are all popular right now in a variety of formats. The great thing about R/S is that we capture them all, and most importantly keep your body guessing what that next workout will be.
